Lonsdale House is a quality town centre hotel located in traditional lakes market town.
All rooms ensuite with some four poster and jaccuzzi, there is a feature garden with high gothic wall and a cosy restaurant serving localy produced food.
Lake Windermere is a ten minutes drive away and the coast is a 15 minute drive away whilst the market square is a two minute walk away.

Unique location in South Lakes Historic Market Town nestled between the lakes and Morecambe bay, offering a great base for exploring something new or visiting the majestic national park. Through the year there is also a variety of festivals in the town providing a real buzz to an already bustling market town.

All 19 bedrooms at Lonsdale House Hotel are individual and offer en suite bathroom, hospitality tray, remote control text TV, radio, direct dial telephone and alarm call facility. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board are available from reception. 4 of the bedrooms have four-poster beds with a jacuzzi bath.
The hotel boasts an unusual cellar restaurant and bar area. All meals are freshly cooked to order and we only use the finest ingredients, many locally produced.
We can cater for parties up to 45 people at a time or a single candlelit table for a more romantic setting. We have a diverse menu from good old English style meals to unusual Tomato & Basil Ice-cream starter. Our accomplished chefs will make you the perfect meal to end or start your day.
Lonsdale House is about half an hour's drive from Junction 36 of the M6 motorway in South Cumbria.
Just follow the A590 signposted to Barrow in Furness. When you reach Ulverston, turn right at the large roundabout and follow the one way system until you arrive at the Market Square, the turn sharp right up Daltongate and you will find the hotel on the left.
